Details 29.95 per bottle ABV 13.5% Situated at the foot of the famous Roche de Solutr in the hamlet of Pouilly, the Trouillet estate currently run by William (4th generation) covers around 20ha today, compared to the four that Williams great-grandfather started with. The expansion has been made gradually over the generations, which today makes it possible to produce several well-known appellations. The vines in this domaine are 40 to 50 years old on average and are planted on the clay-limestone soils of 6 communes surrounding the estate: Solutr-Pouilly, Fuiss, Loch, Vinzelles, Leynes, Davay. They benefit from exceptional terroirs with different exposures, giving a wide range of dry and fruity wines of great complexity. The domaine follows a philosophy in the vineyard that encompasses the use of specific cultivation techniques to reduce the number of plant treatments, by optimising their efficiency. In addition, soil work is widely practiced, to encourage underground life and rooting, to obtain richness and minerality in the final wines. Since October 2018, the domaine has been awarded the HVE level 3 certificate in recognition of its commitment to particularly environmentally friendly approaches.
